2009 SEASON

2009 has already been an exciting year for Judd. 

Judd's last race at Eastern Creek in 2008 featured Judd leading for the majority of the race and then a mishap with the handlebar slipping meant that Judd miraculously finished the race in 3rd place (Race Report). 

2009 should have been a continued wave of success.  The financial crisis however meant that his naming right sponsor from 2008 could not continue and the hoped for MV Augusta factory Superbike also could not continue. 
Jubilant Champion at Philip Island

Philip Island World Superbikes and the first round of the ASBK Championships was the last weekend of February and Judd's many supporters rallied round and have helped Judd get back on board for 2009.  The many supporters are not disappointed, Judd is now joint leader of the ASBK Championship (Race Report).

Judd would like to thank:

  • Rodney Lamb and Sunstate Racing for the continued use of his Suzuki GSXR-600's and for the equipment and spare parts support. 
  • Trinder Brothers Racing who could not abide the idea of Judd not racing and have put their time, expertise, mechanical and suspension skills all on call for Judd
  • Sunstate Motorcycles, Judd's employers, who also have racing in their blood.  Jamie & Karl Muggeridge and the team at Sunstate Motorcycles are part of Judd's extended team
  • Steve Marskell from One Stop Project Solution, a customer of Judd's who was quick to offer assistance in getting Judd back on the track
